Ross: Yeah, yeah, everybody's here. Hey, everybody, say hi to Julie in New Mexico.

All: Hi, Julie!

Rachel: Hi, Julie.

Rachel: What?

Chandler: Ok, while Ross is on the phone, everybody owes me 62 bucks for his birthday.

Phoebe: Um, is, is there any chance that you're rounding up? ​From, you know, like from, like 20?

Chandler: Hey, come on, we got the gift, the concert, and the cake.

Joey: Do we need a cake?

Chandler: Look, guys, I know it's a little steep.

Rachel: Yeah, whoosh! 

Chandler: But it's Ross.

Phoebe: Yeah. It's Ross.

Joey: Yeah, you're right.

Rachel: I know. I know. It's Ross.

Chandler: I'll see you guys later. I gotta go... do a thing.

Ross: Ok, sweetheart, I'll call you later tonight. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, hey, hey, hey, you're not really gonna go through with this, are you?

Chandler: You know, I think I might just.

Rachel: So uh, what are you guys doing for dinner tonight?

Joey: Well, I guess I gotta start saving up for Ross's birthday, so... I guess I'll just stay home and eat dust bunnies.

Phoebe: Can you believe how much this is gonna cost?

Rachel: Do you guys ever get the feeling that um, Chandler and those guys just don't get that we don't make as much money as they do?

Joey: Yes! Yeah.

Rachel: Really?

Joey: It's like they're always saying "Let's go here, let's go there." Like we can afford to go here and there.

Phoebe: Yes, yes, and it's... and we always have to go to, you know, someplace nice...

Rachel: I know.

Phoebe: ... you know? God, and it's not like we can say anything about it, 'cause, like this birthday thing, you know, it's for Ross.

Joey: For Ross.

Rachel: For Ross, Ross, Ross.

Monica: Oh my God.

Rachel: Hey.

Joey: Hi.

Rachel: What?

Monica: Ok. I'm at work... ​just an ordinary day, you know, chop chop chop, saute, saute, saute. All of a sudden, Leon, the manager, calls me into his office. It turns out they fired the head lunch chef, and guess who got the job?

Joey: If it's not you, this is a horrible story.

Monica: Fortunately, it is me. And, they made me head of purchasing, thank you very much.

Rachel: That's so cool.

Monica: Anyway, I just ran into Chandler and Ross downstairs, and they think we should go out and celebrate. You know, someplace nice. 

Joey: Some place nice.

Rachel: Yeah!

Joey: How much do you think I can get for my kidney?

 

Ross: Yeah, yeah, everybody's here. Hey, everybody, say hi to Julie in New Mexico.

Rachel: What?

 

Chandler: Ok, while Ross is on the phone, everybody owes me 62 bucks for his birthday.

좋아, 로스가 통화하는 동안, 모두들 로스 생일준비경비로 나한테 62달러 빚진거야.

 

Phoebe: Um, is, is there any chance that you're rounding up? ​From, you know, like from, like 20?

음, 혹시 반올림할 가능성은 없어?  있지, 약 20달러 정도에서?

 

Chandler: Hey, come on, we got the gift, the concert, and the cake.

이봐, 왜 이래, 우리 선물 샀지, 콘서트입장권에, 케이크도 샀어.

 

Joey: Do we need a cake?

우리 케이크도 필요해?

 

Chandler: Look, guys, I know it's a little steep.

Rachel: Yeah, whoosh!

 

Chandler: But it's Ross.

하지만 로스잖아.

 

Phoebe: Yeah. It's Ross.

그래. 로스지.

 

Joey: Yeah, you're right.

그래, 네가 맞아.

 

Rachel: I know. I know. It's Ross.

알아. 알아. 로스지.

 

Chandler: I'll see you guys later. I gotta go... do a thing.

나중에 보자. 난 가서.. 뭘 해야겠어.

 

Ross: Ok, sweetheart, I'll call you later tonight. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, hey, hey, hey, you're not really gonna go through with this, are you?

좋아, 자기, 밤에 전화할게. 워, 워, 워, 너 진짜로 이 일을 진행할 건 아니지, 그치?

 

Chandler: You know, I think I might just.

그럴 생각인 것 같은데.

 

Rachel: So uh, what are you guys doing for dinner tonight?

그래서 어, 다들 저녁에 뭐 먹을거야? 

 

Joey: Well, I guess I gotta start saving up for Ross's birthday, so... I guess I'll just stay home and eat dust bunnies.

뭐, 로스 생일에 낼 돈을 모으기 시작해야 할 거 같아, 그래서... 집에서 먼지 뭉치나 먹으면서 있어야 할 거 같아. 

 

Phoebe: Can you believe how much this is gonna cost?

돈을 이렇게 많이 쓸 거라는 게 믿어져? 

 

Rachel: Do you guys ever get the feeling that um, Chandler and those guys just don't get that we don't make as much money as they do?

챈들러랑 다른 애들은 우리가 자기네들만큼 돈을 많이 벌지 않는다는 생각은 하지도 않는 것 같다는 생각 든 적 없어?

 

Joey: Yes! Yeah.

맞아! 그래.

 

Rachel: Really?

 

Joey: It's like they're always saying "Let's go here, let's go there." Like we can afford to go here and there.

그래, 마치 쟤네가 맨날 "여기 가보자, 저기 가보자" 말하듯이 여기저기 갈 여유가 있는 것처럼 말이지.

맞아. 우린 항상 근사한 데를 가야 해, 알지?

 

Rachel: I know.

알아? 세상에, 우리가 그거에 대해서 뭐라고 할 수도 있는 것도 아니잖아, 왜냐면 이번 생일처럼, 로스를 위한 거거든.

Rachel: What?

좋아. 난 직장에 있었고... 그냥 평범한 날이였어, 너도 알다시피, 찹 찹 찹, 볶고, 볶고, 볶고, 볶고, 볶고. 갑자기, 레온, 매니저가, 자기 사무실로 날 부르는 거야. 알고보니 수석 점심식사 요리사를 해고했더라고, 그리고 그 포지션을 누가 받았게?

 

Joey: If it's not you, this is a horrible story.

네가 아니면 그건 비극이겠다.

어쨌든, 오다가 챈들러랑 오빠를 봤는데, 파티라도 하자고 하더라. 있잖아, 근사한 데 말이야.
